Yeah man that sucks. Luckily my landlord doesn't mind me bringin my bike through the hallways so i keep my bike in my apartment. I would suggest that when you get another bike or get your stolen one back, just take it up to your apartment every time. If your landlord says something about it, tell him that you keep your bike clean enough to bring thru the hallways and if he doesn't like it, he can pay for your stolen bike for having shitty security where you're forced to keep it. You're not going to get evicted for it so just do it, and even so, you definitely won't be hurting to find a new place in new west.
